The Shamrock Ball was launched in 2013 by Dr Maurice Duffy from County Mayo, one of the founding members of the Lionra Network, non-profit organisation which promotes North East/Irish business. His Irish roots linked with his desire to raise funds and awareness for needy causes fuelled the vision for what has become an key date in the Geordie social calendar. Over the years, The Shamrock Charity Ball has raised thousands of pounds for Charities and causes like Crawford House, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association and more.
The Shamrock Ball has become an annual event here in the North East and it’s a great craic! People from both the North East and Ireland know how to party so we expect it to be an entertaining night. Dr Maurice Duffy

About the Charity:
Lisa sadly passed away in May 2021, aged just 44. She was a loving wife and mum, daughter, sister, aunty, friend and colleague. Her family meant everything to her, and her little boy is blessed with unflinching love and support as he comes to terms with life without his beautiful mum.
Lisa Shaw’s Little’uns aims to raise money to fund holidays, activities and creative outlets for children who have lost a parent but do not have the financial means to pay for them. We aim to raise as much money as possible throughout the evening through a combination of fun activites, including a Live Auction featuring prizes that money can’t buy!
You can donate at any point through the charity’s own JUST GIVING page.
